The 10th Amendment of the US Constitution makes it very clear - The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.

Understanding the right of states and the proper role of the federal government is necessary to be an effective state legislator.

IMMIGRATION/FENTANYL/HUMAN TRAFFICKING

The laws of our nation are not just words on paper, they are the backbone of our Republic. The Rule of Law must not be abandoned. Unfortunately, during the Biden administration, we have watched our southern border become a floodgate for illegal entry into our sovereign nation, and with it the scourge of crime, drugs and human trafficking.

The full power of the state must be activated to do what the federal government has failed to do -

from physical barriers to surveillance to manpower to apprehend, we must stop the flow

of human trafficking and fentanyl that is pouring into our state.

EDUCATION

Every child has the right to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness". Part of this promise is the ability of every child to attend school and obtain an education.

Parents should decide the school experience that best meets their child's needs. If education

is the purpose of taxation related to schools, then the highest outcome is in the best

interest of the state and should not be limited to a single model.

ECONOMY

Unlike the European countries our forefathers fled, we are not a nation that grants wealth and privilege to individuals based on their class or pedigree. Unfortunately, the Biden administration has created an economy where no matter how hard we work, it's impossible to get ahead.  We have all experienced the shrinking dollar, from the price of groceries to gasoline, how much more can we take?

We are a nation of hardworking individuals who will achieve, create, and produce because that is

what Americans do! The state must push back on overreaching federal regulations and policies that

limit entrepreneurism and artificially raise prices, leading to inflation, and oppose state laws

that negatively affect our economy.
